Join us for a family-friendly street party where you will taste fantastic food and spirits at local restaurants and pubs, watch the ascent of the giant glass globe, and light up the sky with a spectacular fireworks show!

This event celebrates the importance of glass in Lancaster’s history as the community creates a beautiful piece of glass art for this fun party. The globe is a traveling piece of art until New Year’s Eve when it rises high above Zane’s Square and rings in the new year.

To create an ornament to be displayed on the globe, sign up for a Glass Town Countdown ornament class HERE. These classes take place at the Ohio Glass Museum in Lancaster. You can also purchase an ornament online at the Ohio Glass Museum website or purchase an ornament in person at the museum gift shop.

Join us for an evening of fun and food and fabulous auction items! All proceeds for this event will benefit the Ohio Glas Museum, furthering our mission and preserving our legacy. A live auction will begin at 7:15 pm. In addition to the auction itself, there will be many activities for all to enjoy:
• Your admission ticket will be used to pull door prizes throughout the evening.
• Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
• Entertainment
• Table with glass blown and fused glass items from our gift shop, 40% off.
• 50/50 raffle throughout the night. When we have $100 in raffle tickets sold, we will pull a raffle ticket!
• Sharon, our fused glass artist, will have a table set up where, for $20, you can make a beautiful glass pendant.
• OGM memberships: will be sold and each category will be given a bag with gifts for the different levels of membership $40/Senior & Individual $50; Patron $100, Supporter $250 and Benefactor $500
